Tofu with vegetables

Ingredients

1 carrot
1 fou shou gua
1 egg (optional) - beaten
1 piece of firm tofu (125 g)
a handful of fresh abalone mushroom
2 tbsp po luo gu
1 piece of ginger
salt and pepper
sesame oil


Method

1. Slice the tofu (lightly) diagonally, to make square shapes on the tofu.

2. Place the tofu into a glass casserole. Cut the vegetables into cubes (place the easier cooking vegetable in the tray first, followed by carrot.

3. Sprinkle the chopped ginger over the vegetables. Tear the mushroom with fingers and spread over it. Topped with the rest of the seasonings.

4. Pour the beaten egg on the tray and put to steam for 15-20 minutes.

5. Voila, remove from steaming rack and serve hot.
